On January 25 and 26, the
Romanian Film Centennial made a stop at the Culture House in Buhuși, with two special episodes that complete the film map of the Great Union Centennial.

The evening of January 25 was dedicated to
Elisabeta Bostan, the film director who was born - and spent her young years until she was 18 – in Buhuși.
Saltimbancii was screened at the Culture House in front of more than 150 viewers. Elisabeta Bostan confessed that when she lived in Buhuși, around September 24, the circus would come to town. And later, this moment represented a strong inspiration, as well as Cezar Petrescu`s novel, “Fram, the Polar Bear”.
Vasile Zaharia, the town mayor said that “Elisabeta Bostan is a daughter of the town of Buhuși, one of the most remarkable personalities that were born here”. The authorities are preparing a project by means of which, the Culture House will receive her name.
On January 26, from 16:00, the audience had the chance to meet the actor
Adrian Păduraru, who spoke about the film
Beside Me / Coborâm la prima, screened in premiere in Buhuși. “
Tedy Necula`s film is for the viewers of any age, for the people of any cultural background, but it is a film that touches especially the very young viewers. I am glad to be here, in such a beautiful hall.” the actor said.
