The National History Museum of Romania (MNIR) and IGV FILM&MEDIA have the pleasure to invite you to the screening of the documentary
What Have We Done for 100 Years?/ Ce-am făcut 100 de ani?
The event will take place on Thursday, February 21, starting with 18:00 at the MNIR. The access is made through the entrance B of the museum, from the Poștei street (building Stavropoleos, 2nd floor, Mihai Viteazul hall). The access is free, upon seats availability (max. 80 viewers).
What Have We Done for 100 Years? is a 100 minutes-long feature documentary dedicated to the participation of Romania in the First World War and to the Centennary of the Great Union on December 1, 1918. The film documents the most important historic moments from the past 100 years of Romania: the participation in the First World War, the Great Union from December 1, 1918, the interwar Romania, the Second World War, the Communism, the 1989 Revolution and the post-December period.
The presence in this production of important cultural personalities and valuable specialists represents an undeniable guarantee for the way in which the historic facts, events and documents are presented: Acad. Ion Aurel Pop – the president of the Romanian Academy, the historian Adrian Cioroianu, the sociologist Bogdan Ficeac, the journalist and writer
Cristian Tudor Popescu, as well as important folklore singers – Sava Negrean Brudașcu, Ioan Bocșa, Mariana Anghel
What Have We Done for 100 Years? closes a series of documentaries dedicated to the history of Romania and of Romanians; the series was opened with the feature documentary
When the Land Speaks / Când Pământul Vorbește which premiered in 2017.
The film is a 2018 production of IGV FILM&MEDIA / AEEAR / KIWI KAMERA.
The screening will be attended by Viorel Costea, the director of the documentary and dr. Ernest Oberländer-Târnoveanu, the MNIR manager.
