The 10th Edition of NexT (7-11 April) will open with an anniversary program – “10 years with NexT” –, which will include five ambitious shorts from the previous editions of the Festival.
The package also includes shorts made by filmmakers who gained international recognition after their participation to NexT, two of them being among the nominees at the 2016 American Film Academy Awards. Lázsló Nemes (
Son of Saul) won the „Cristian Nemescu” Best Director Award (2010) with the short With a Little Patience
/ Türelem, and Deniz Gamze Ergüven, Oscar nominee for
Mustang, was granted the same award for
A Drop of Water / Bir damla 
su, at the first edition of NexT.
The features will be screened on Thursday, April 7th, at the Romanian Farmers' Museum, right after the opening gala, at 20:00.
As it is the case every year, NexT will also host the program “Festival Friends”, this year's edition bringing forth two of the projects entered at The Pitch (2014 and 2015):
4 ½ simțuri (4 1/2 Senses), directed by Raluca Răcean Gorgos and Ion Aramă, and
Azi nu (Not Today), directed by Cristina Iliescu. The 10 shorts of the Festival's friends will be screened in two series on Sunday, 10 April, starting at 15.00, and respectively at 18.00, at Elvire Popesco Cinema.
