OWR Brașov will bring film screenings, debates with special guests, a photo exhibition and two workshops for high school students to the Reduta Cultural Centre, to the Patria Cinemateque and other three locations from November 7 to 10, 2019.
Ivana the Terrible / Ivana cea Groaznică was screened in the opening in the presence of the director Ivana Mladenovic and of her close collaborator, Ana Szel. In 2019 we mark 30 years since the Revolution that ended Nicolae Ceaușescu`s dictatorship in Romania, but also since the fall of the Berlin Wall or from the free elections in Czechoslovakia and in Poland.

The Other Part of All the Things, directed by Mila Turajlic, one of the most awarded documentaries of the previous years.
A series of public debates will accompany some of the screenings; a few important personalities for the transition period after the 1989 Revolution will be among the guests of the event. Stere Gulea, Vivi Drăgan Vasile and Sorin Ilieșiu made the documentary
Piața Universității - București, that will be presented in Brașov. Both Stere Gulea and Vivi Drăgan Vasile will attend the screening at Cinema Patria, on November 8.
The description of those years decisive for the actual state of the Romanian society will be completed by Indrei Rațiu, who will speak at length to the Brașov audience about his father, Ion Rațiu, the candidate of the National Peasants`Party at the first free presidential elections in the history of Romania. The viewers will have the chance to meet Indrei Rațiu on Saturday, November 9, at the Patria Cinematheque after the screening of Laurențiu Calciu`s film,

more intimate and detached artistic perspective on those events.
The photo exhibition “Scars”, signed by Cosmin Bumbuț and Elena Stancu, is one of the special events of the edition and it will bring to light the domestic violence phenomenon that exists in our country.
Other special guests of the festival are tireless activists: Patrick Brăila is one of the most powerful voices of the trans community in Romania and Gabriela Leu represents UNHCR – the UN Agency for refugees. They will discuss with the viewers, on the occasion of the screening of two films which deal with problematic that are specific to their activities.
The festival intends to bring to Brașov, in premiere, a practical workshop of juridical education held by two experienced judges - Veronica Cocârlea and Vlad Vidican. The purpose of this workshop is clarifying some notions which are important to be understood, in order to fully practicing the rights of every citizen.
