During the 27th edition of the Madrid Film Festival (September 11-23, 2018), the director
Anca Damian receives the Mirada Internacional Award for her achievements in cinema. In 2017, Volker
Schlöndorff was honored with the same award. This year, the festival organized by New Realizers Platform is dedicated the the women filmmakers, who are present in the competition or in the parallel sections.
During the press conference, the festival coordinators, Jesús Monroy și Juan Manuel Aragón, announced the programme and mentioned that it will be a historic event for the film industry.
