Gopo Awards 2017: Screenings with the Films Nominated for “Best European Film”


     The five film productions nominated for “Best European Film” at the 11th edition of the Gopo Awards are to be seen starting today at Cinema Elvire Popesco and the cinema of the Museum of the Romanian Peasant.
     The screenings are scheduled between March 8 to 19.
     The features nominated this year at the Gopo awards are: Saul Fia (directed by László Nemes), Toni Erdmann (directed by Maren Ade), La Isla Minima (directed by Alberto Rodríguez), Rams (directed by Grímur Hákonarson) and A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence (directed by Roy Andersson).
     Toni Erdmann is scheduled at Cinema Elvira Popescu on Wednesday, March 15th, at 14.30h, as well as on Sunday, March 12th from 12.30h.
     La Isla Minima is to be screened at Cinema Elvira Popescu on Sunday, March 19th, 11.30h, and on Thursday, March 9th, 16.00h.
     Rams is scheduled at the Cinema of the Peasant Museam on Wednesday, March 8th, 16.00h, and on March 11th, from 15.00h.
     Son of Saul can be seen at the cinema of the Peasant Museum on Friday, March 10th, 16.00h, and on Tuesday, March 14, 15.30h.
     A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence will have two screenings at Cinema Elvira Popescu on Monday, March 13, and on Thursday, March 16, both starting with 15.30h.
     The Gopo Awards Gala, 11th edition, is organized by the Romanian Film Promotion supported by Romanian Film Center and Babel Communications.
     The event will take place on March 21, 2017, at the National Theatre in Bucharest.
