On Saturday might, the Eforie Cinematheque hosted the awards gala of the 23rd edition of the CineMAiubit International Student Film Festival. The festival is organized by the “I.L.Caragiale” National University of Theatre and Film – Bucharest (UNATC) and the Cinemaiubit Foundation, with the support of the Romanian Film Centre (CNC), of the Romanian Filmmakers Union (UCIN) and DACIN SARA.
The jury of the festival was made if important personalities of the Romanian film industry: the actress
Iulia Lumânare, the directors
Cătălin Mitulescu and
Ioana Grigore, the film editor
Corina Stavilă, the director of photography
Vivi Drăgan Vasile, the film critics
Pavel Azap and
Laurențiu Brătan.
The Best Film Award went to
A Little Soul (Lodz Film School), an animated film filled with meaning and emotion, made by Barbara Rupik. The Best Romanian Film
Award was received by
Contraindicații, directed by Luciei Chicoș (UNATC). The UNATC students also received the “Paul Călinescu” Award for the Best Documentary – Ana Preda, for her film
Olimpia and the UCIN President Award – Alma Buhagiar for her films
Alge and
Ultimul părinte.
The festival partners were: Rohrer Group, Cinelab București, Avanpost Digital Cube, Strada Film, Romanian Society of Cinematographers, MDV Studio, Aqua Carpatica, Domeniile Sâmburești, CINETic, SEECS (South-East European Cinema Schools), American Cinematographer, Bucharest Music University.
