The premiere of the week on Cinepub.ro: „Family Issues”

     The Cinepub premiere brings again to our attention a film director who is already known on this platform, Ruxandra Ghițescu.
Cinepub presents two premieres, from 2010 and 2011:  Family Issues / Probleme de familie and Urban Groove. Family Issues was selected for the Cottbus Film Festival in Germany and Urban Groove took part in the REX (Recent Experimental Shorts Film) Festival in Stockholm. Two other short films signed by Ruxandra Ghițescu can be watched on Cinepub: Perfuziunea and Nina.
Family Issues is a life story which presents the tense relationship between a father and his daughter, a teenager who is in love. Mircea, a 42 years old divorced man, is in a delicate situation, when he notices that his 18 years old daughter didn`t come home one night. Nothing could calm the situation – not even his 29 years old girlfriend, Anca`s intervention, or Laura`s excuses. Mircea doesn`t know how to react and he asks Anca to have a “girl talk” with Laura.
In Urban Groove, two teenagers who enjoy having a good time decide to record their nightly adventures. The conflict occurs when they start being violent and act crazy. Do they want to build cool characters or to bring out the dark sides of their own personalities?
