25.000 Roma people were deported by Antonescu's regime to Transnistria between 1943 and 1945. Half of them died shortly from hunger, cold or other causes. After 70 years, the survivors, who were children at the time, reminiscence and tell with emotion the story of the terrible events that happened then.

The documentary
Valley of Sighs (directed by Mihai Andrei Leaha, Iulia Hossu and Andrei Crișan) intends to reconstruct they road, the places and the tragic events of the Roma Holocaust. The interviews taken from members of the Transnistria Ukrainian community are completing the stories of the Roma survivors and are turning a space seemingly banal today into an anthropological one, of tearful memories.
