Cinepub premiere: “The Short Way to Far Away” and “By the Book”

     This week, Cinepub is releasing online two medium-length independent features: Drumul scurt până departe / The Short Way to Far Away (directed by Ilija Piperkoski) and Totul ca la carte / By the Book (directed by Bogdan Bărbulescu).

     Drumul scurt până departe (directed by Ilija Piperkoski) presents Maria, a former singer whose glory days are gone. Since she withdrawn into her flat in Bucharest, the only visits she gets are from her students and from Mr. Nelu, who brings her groceries every week. An unexpected visitor changes the set course of her life. The film was co-produced by Aline Film and Pandora’s Box Production.
     In By the Book, Cornel is turning 18, and his best three friends take him out to celebrate. But their trip turns from fun to absurd in a second. The film was co-produced by Bell Film and Alien Film.
