This week`s Cinepub premiere is
58 Cents / 2 lei 60, directed by
Cameliei Popa. The short film tackles the difficulties that a young man, who just came out of the prison, lives after returning home to his family.
Two detainees, of different ages and social backgrounds, are released from prison on the same day. Their struggle to reintegrate is a fight against their own nature, social prejudices and the former`s entourage`s temptations of an easy life.
This film is based upon the project “The Ethnography of transitions for the detainees”, which intends raising the awareness regarding the process of social reintegration from the subjective perspective of the prisoners.
