Câini/Dogs (directed by
Bogdan Mirică), the grand winner of Transilvania International Film Festival, and distinguished with the FIPRESCI Award at Cannes. The viewers watched the feature together with two of the actors starring in the film,
Gheorghe Visu and
Costel Cașcaval, and
Mihai Chirilov,

artistic director of TIFF.
The first day of TIFF ended at the Gong Theatre with an Oscar film,
Son of Saul, and today, from 20.00, another unmissable production is scheduled at the same location:
Afacerea Est/Eastern Business. The screening will be attended by the film director,
Igor Cobileanski, and by its producer
Iuliana Tarnovețchi, who will answer the audience questions after the screening.
The film lovers of Sibiu will have the opportunity to meet today, 23 June, a part of the crew of another much awaited-for Romanian film, the comedy
Două Lozuri/Two Lottery Tickets, from 22.00, in Piața Mare. The viewers will be joined by director
Paul Negoescu, by director of photography
Ana Drăghici, actor
Dorian Boguță and editor Alexandru Radu. At the same hour, in Subarini Park, on the lawn in front of the Municipal Stadium, football fans of the most prolific Swedish football player in history will be able to view the documentary
Becoming Zlatan. Admission to

screenings in Subarini Park and in Piața Mare will be free of charge.
On Friday, 24 June, TIFF Sibiu has on its schedule other two special events. From 18:30, close by the Gura Râului Dam, a traditional picnic with food specific to Mărginimea Sibiului area will be prepared, and from 19.00, the children and youth choir from Gura Râului, named
Concertino Choir, will open the musical night. At 20.00, the duo made up of Romulus Cipariu and Dan Bălășoiu will perform a cymbal and violin recital on cafe-concert rhythms, with Romanian traditional folklore influences. The screening of the film
Tudo, shot right there in Mărginimea Sibiului, will start at 21:45, with director
Iura Luncașu, producer Andrei Băltărețu and actor
Pavel Ulici in attendance.
