The third edition of the Película - Latin America Experience festival will take place from September 12 to 16, in Bucharest.
For the first time, this year`s edition will bring in front of the audience a competition section dedicated to the films from Latin America. The applications were made via the Filmfreeway platform

and the deadline was the end of June. A selection process made by the organizers followed.
Six films were selected in the competition:
Los adioses (Mexico, directed by Natalia Beristáin),
Las olas (Uruguay, directed by Adrián Biniez),
Retablo (Peru, directed by Alvaro Delgado Aparicio),
Tiempo sin pulso (Mexico, directed by Bárbara Ochoa),
Flor del sol (Dominican Republic, directed by Dilia Pacheco Méndez) and
Los vagos (Argentina, directed by Gustavo Biazzi).
The jury that will decide the best film in competition is made of: Enrica Pérez (director, screenwriter – Peru), Eva

Morsch Kihn (Coordinator of the professional platform Cinélatino, Rencontres de Toulouse – France),
Igor Cobileanski (director, screenwriter – Moldova), Massimiliano Nardulli (programmer, script adviser – Italia) and Miruna Berescu (the director of the ANONIMUL International Independent Film Festival, producer – Romania).
This year the country in Focus is Peru. The Embassy of Peru in Bucharest is the guest of honor of this edition, which is a perfect occasion to bring forward the young and very talented artists and also the culture of that country.
The festival focuses on the Latin-American culture, organizing film screenings, dance demonstrations, food and music, exhibitions with the stories of those who fell in love with this world full of passion and humanity, so that the viewers may enjoy an extraordinary experience.
The Película festival is organized by FREEALIZE and the ARTICHITANA Cultural Association and it has the honorary support of the embassies of the eight Latin American countries that are present in Bucharest: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Mexico, Peru, Venezuela and Uruguay. They are joined by the French Embassy, the French Institute and the Cervantes Institute.
