The official opening of the Romanian Film Evenings Festival will take place on June 6, 2018, in Piața Unirii, where
Stere Gulea`s latest feature film,
Moromeții, will be screened starting with 20:30. The guests who will attend the screening are: the actor
Victor Rebengiuc, the director Stere Gulea and the festival Film Ambassador, Irina-Margareta Nistor.
On June 6, at 17:00, the
book
Proud to Be Romanian, will be launched at the Cărturești Bookstore. The book represents a concept that includes products and services, experiences, destinations and places of cultural interest that are currently to be found in Romania. This is a long-awaited project and the first volume was launched in 2014.
The SFR Film Ambassador, Irina-Margareta Nistor is one of the personalities who are part of this project, at the categories
Education and
Personalities. Starting with this year, the SFR Festival is included in the project, thanks to the way it inspires and it grows, out of the love for the Romanian film.
The first feature film made in Romania,
Independența României (1912), directed by Aristide Demetriade and Grigore Brezeanu, will be screened on June 10, from 16:00, at the Students Culture House in Iași.
The photographer Simion Buia will bring a digital exhibition to the big screen of SFR. Before each screening, the film lovers will be able to see his photographs, portraits of different actors from the project of promoting the Romanian actors,
Romanian Actors by Simion Buia. All the portraits can be found on the website
