Premiul pentru publicistică 2015 al Asociaţiei Criticilor de film

“Oriented” – winner of One World Romania 2016

Saturday night, Eforie Cinema, the high-school students' jury of the One World Romania International Documentary and Human Rights Festival granted its ninth edition's award.
The winner was the documentary feature Oriented, made by Jake Witzenfeld. One of the protagonists, Khader Abu Seif, got on the stage to receive the prize – a jar full of awareness pills.
The five high-school students making up the jury - Andrada, Diana, Bogdan, Pavel and Ian motivated the decision taken after viewing the 10 features entered into competition as follows: „we decided to grant the award to this film because we want to make the public aware of the issues raised by it, and each of us must become a responsible member of society, each step being important. Everybody should be aware of the fact that sexual orientation is one of our defining traits and, like all the others, it should be accepted as such; it is part of us. Our identity should not be perceived like a taboo subject.”
