NexT Romanian Shorts and Best of NexT at Piatra Neamț 


     NexT Films Caravan is ready to hit the road on a new adventure that will take it to 10 cities, where film lovers have a date with the latest award-winner shorts at the NexT International Film Festival, between 30 July and 23 August.
     The Caravan will stop in Piatra Neamț, the first city on its route this year, at the Tineretului Pool, where viewers may lay their blankets on the grass for a session of open-air cinema. Being the NexT Films Caravan's third year in Piatra Neamț, for two nights, on 30 and 31 July, the viewers will be able to enjoy this time, too, 11 shorts from the two programmes: NexT Romanian Shorts and Best of NexT.
     For Saturday, 30 July, NexT Films Caravan set up a night dedicated to Romanian films: NexT Romanian Shorts – the most acclaimed 6 Romanian shorts from the Festival's 2016 edition. All of them are full of imagination, with a twist and were loved by the audience: Prăjitorul de pâine / Toaster (directed by Cristian Pop, Romania, 2015, 16'), Te mai uiţi şi la om / Second Look (directed by Ana Maria Comănescu, Romania, 2015, 23'), Vacanţă la ţară / Summer Break (directed by Andrei Tănase, Romania/Germania, 2015, 22'), Azi nu / Not Today (directed by Cristina Iliescu, Romania, 2014, 14'), Dispozitiv 0068 / 0068 Sniper's Nest (directed by Radu Bărbulescu, Romania, 2015, 20') and  Paper Bag (directed by Roxana Benţu, Romania, 2015, 12').
Sunday, 31 July, is reserved for Best of NexT, five films winner of awards and applauded by the public at the 10 NexT editions, with touching stories about parents and children: Mâine, Bach... / Tomorrow, Bach...(directed by Mihnea Andrei Ciorică, Romania, 2013, 31’), Junior (directed by Julia Ducournau, Franța, 2011, 21’), Leagănul meșterului de sicrie / The Swing of the Coffin Maker (directed by Elmar Imanov, 2012, 30’), Aglaée (directed by Rudi Rosenberg, Franța, 2010, 19’) and  Excursie / Excursion (directed by Adrian Sitaru, Romania, 2013, 19’).
     After Piatra Neamț, the route will continue to Iași (2 – 3 August, Palas Parc), Vatra Dornei (5 – 6 August, Parcul Municipal), Cluj-Napoca (8 – 9 August, Iulius Parc), Brașov (11 – 12 August, Aleea de sub Tâmpa), Sfântu Gheorghe (13 – 14 August, Parc Elisabeta), Sinaia (15 – 16 August, Parc Dimitrie Ghica), Timișoara (17 - 18 August), Arad (19 – 20 August, Parcul Eminescu), Oradea (22 – 23 August, Parcul Cetății).
