11 European shorts, nominated at great festivals and at the European Film Academy (EFA) Awards in 2015, are to be screened at the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) (38 Aleea Alexandru) on Friday, April 8th, 2016, starting at 6.00 pm, within the Film NexT International Film Festival (7-11 April, 2016).

As part of the program initiated by EFA - „Short Matters!" – the following features will be made available for viewing at the Romanian Cultural Institute:
Dissonance (directed by Till Nowak),
Listen (directed by Hamy Ramezan & Rungano Nyoni),
The Runner (directed by José Luis Montesinos),
E.T.E.R.N.I.T. (directed by Giovanni Aloi),
Field Study (directed by Eva Weber),
Symbolic Threats (directed by Mischa Leinkauf, Lutz Henke & Matthias Wermke),
The Translator (directed by Emre Kayiş),
Son Of The Wolf (directed by Lola Quivoron),
Over (directed by Jörn Threlfall),
Smile, And The World Will Smile Back (directed by Ehab Tarabieh, Yoav Gross & the al-Haddad family) and
Picnic (directed by Jure Pavlović), winner of the shorts' section award granted by the European Film Academy.
Viewers' access to the screening is free, within the limits of the available seats.
The Romanian Cultural Institute is partner of the Festival, sponsoring the NexT Trophy (EUR 2,700), the „Cristian Nemescu" Award for Best Director (EUR 1,500), the „Andrei Toncu" Award for Best Sound Design (EUR 1,500) and the „Best Romanian Film" Award (EUR 1,000).
