
From November the 14th until December the 14th 2016 screenings of different documentaries will take place in Târgu Jiu, Curtea de Argeș, Câmpulung, Pitești, Slatina, Caracal, București and in other places in the rest of the country.
Luna.doc means one month of screenings of documentaries in high schools, which is intended to encourage the pupils to get to know the recent events and to stimulate the public debate on topics regarding the human rights. Every year
luna.doc brings forward a contemporary topic and this year it is the creative recycling under the motto “Cycle. Recycle. Upcycle.”
The films which will be screened this year are selected especially for high school students:
Bristol Bike Project (Great Britain, 2009),
North of the Sun (Norway, 2012),
The World According to Ion B. (Romania, 2009) and
Out of Fashion (Estonia, 2015).
The opening film of the event happening in Craiova is
Out of Fashion, a documentary about the fashion industry and its hidden costs. The screening will be followed by discussions about what every person can do in order to reduce the negative impact of the industry and by a workshop about textile recycling, led by Sonia Constantinescu and Anca Miron from Retro Future.
Luna.doc#3 is a project initiated by the One World Romania Association, in partnership with the Romanian American Foundation, with the support of the CEZ Group, the County School Inspectorates and the Bucharest School Inspectorate.
