Liviu Săndulescu Is Shooting “Cărturan”, Featuring Teodor Corban in the Main Part


     After the multiple-awarded short film The Cement Mixer / Betoniera, produced by Anca Puiu for Mandragora, the screenwriter and director Liviu Săndulescu makes his feature film debut with Cărturan (working title), which tells the story of a man who prepres to die. The crew is shooting in the Davidești village, near Mioveni, Argeș county, and also in Câmpulung Muscel.
     Cărturan (the co-screenwriter is Bogdan Toma) is also produced by Anca Puiu for Mandragora and it features Teodor CorbanAdrian TitieniIulia Lumânare; they are the actors that the director also worked with for The Cement Mixer. In supporting roles, you will get to see the actors Dana DogaruCristina Flutur and Vlad Popescu, a teenager who plays the part of Cărturan`s grandson.
     The film crew is made of Oleg Mutu (cinematographer), Alexandra Alma Ungureanu (production designer), Dana Anghel (costume designer), Iulia Lumânare (casting director), Șerban Rogoveanu (production manager).   
     The AaRC team was on set and we will soon have a report for the section In Production.
