Short Film Breaks is a private initiative of promoting Romanian and international short films, which reached the 7th edition. George ve Gänæaard and Mihai Lupu are the founders of the festival.
Until Friday, November 30, 2018, the Romanian films can be submitted on
FilmFreeway.com, without paying the participation fee. The paid submissions will continue until May 3, 2019. The selected filmmakers will receive a detailed answer from May 4 to June 14, 2019. This year`s edition will give 3,000 US dollars worth awards.
The categories are: Best International Short Film, Best Romanian Short Film, Best Animated Film. Best Documentary, Best Experimental Film, Best Music Video, Best TV/Web Series, best Human Rights Film, Best Film on Mental Health, Best One-Minute Film. There will be a feature film competition as well.
The selected films will be screened in Romania, Hungary, Tanzania, Indonesia and Nepal.
