Student Hub presents
Masterclass#3: How films fit in a festival, a class on what the artistic direction of a film festival means, from selecting the films, to programming; the speaker is
Mihai Chirilov, the co-founder and artistic director of the TIFF – Transilvania International Film Festival.
The film festivals are
the result of the work of a numerous team and their personality is shaped by the choices of the artistic director. Beside the selection and the programming of the films in the national and international competitions, the festivals bring to the attention of the audience different retrospectives and side events. On Thursday, May 3, 2018, Mihai Chirilov will share things from his own experience to the people who will attend the event; how the sections of a festival are born, how you distribute the films depending on the particularity of the screening spaces, how work is done in a programming team, how you negotiate and how you bring the films will be some of the topics of the discussion. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session where the participants are encouraged to express the curiosities directly to the guest.
The participation is free of charge, upon seats availability. You can sign up by sending an email with the subject
