One World Romania, the International Documentary and Human Rights Festival, is carrying on in 2017 its programme CIVIL SOCIETY PITCH, dedicated to organisations and persons fighting for the defence of human rights, as well as to filmmakers and visual artists from Romania.

They are invited to register to the workshop to be held between 18-19 March in Bucharest, within the 10th Edition of the Festival. The deadline is 17 February 2017.
CIVIL SOCIETY PITCH is a novel initiative intending to bring together mixed professionals' teams from the cinema world and from the civil society, with the purpose of making creative films documenting local realities. The
pilot edition of 2016 had 13 projects coming from the civil society and 17 filmmakers, and the
winning project received funding for development amounting to EUR 4,000.
Invizibil / Invisible (crew: director Iulia Stoian, FILIA Centre and Funky Citizens) is documenting the current status of the persons without ID papers in Romania, filming the actual case of a family from Valea Seacă locality.
This year, the programme will be opened also to participants from Bulgaria and Hungary. The workshop's tutors will be Mikael Opstrup (Head of Studies - European Documentary Network), Hanka Kastelicova (Executive Producer of Documentaries - HBO Europe) and Martichka Bozhilova (Director Balkan Documentary Center).
