The first edition of the Palestinian Film Festival (FFP) starts on Monday in Bucharest, with
the Romanian premiere screening of the multi-awarded film Wajib – the Wedding Invitation (2017), directed by Annemarie Jacir.
For three days, the viewers will have the chance to see five of the most
successful Palestinian recent films, among which Palestine`s proposal for the 2019 Oscars and also to join the Q&As with two of the most appreciated Palestinian filmmakers – the actor Mohammad Bakri and the director Raed Andoni.
The festival will take place from November 26 to 28 at Cinema PRO in Bucharest.
The director Annemarie Jacir`s third feature film, which won awards at the Locarno and Mar del Plata film festivals, can be seen as the Romanian premiere at the opening gala of the FFP, in the presence of the famous actor Mohammad Bakri, the lead actor of the film.
