Premiul pentru publicistică 2015 al Asociaţiei Criticilor de film

In July the screenings in the country begin and KineDok expands

The first public KineDok screenings that break the ice this summer will take place taking into consideration all the social distancing measures.
On Friday, July 3, Kinedok begins in Alba Iulia with Descent into the Maelstrom (Jan Vardøen, 2019) – a lyrical documentary which combines the music composed by Philip Glass and played by the Arctic Philharmonic Orchestra, the fabulous settings of Norway and a mysterious story written by Edgar Allan Poe. The film will be screened in a poetic space as well, at Grădinescu. This garden is right in the middle of the old city and it is part of a larger project which promotes the organizing of community gardens in different cities and towns, following an ingenious model of urban regeneration.
The screening that will take place in Reșița will also be in an open space – the Museum of the Amateur Filmmaker will screen two Croatian documentaries in the courtyard of the “Eftimie Murgu” University. The films are On the Water (Goran Dević, 2018) and Srbenka (Nebojša Slijepčević, 2018). They will be screened on July 18 and 25.
In Arad, CitiZenit celebrates the 6 th KineDok anniversary and opens a new season with The Distance Between Me and Me / Distanța dintre mine și mine (directed by Mona Nicoară and Dana Bunescu, 2018). The date and time will be announced soon.
The KineDok team launches a call for events co-organizers:
“In 2020 everything suddenly stopped – professional lives, traffic, public institutions, educational systems, shopping centres, museums, plans for the future, hopes. But the films didn`t stop. We continued to watch them in the intimacy of our homes, where we found ourselves kept captive overnight. Actually, for many of us, the films were the ones that supported our emotional health during this period of time. We had been for quite some time professional viewers, but this time we became our own screening organizers. We want to encourage this know-how developed during the quarantine and we invite you to add your home on the KineDok map. We bring the films, you have the terrace, the house, the garden, the balcony, the coffee shop or any other alternative space which could host film screenings in these days` conditions. All we need is a wall, a projector and a little bit of love for the documentary film. If you have them, please write a message to us on the address kinedok@oneworld.ro and we will help you organize and promote your first screenings with any film in the 2020 KineDok catalogue (www.kinedok.net/ro.). Don`t underestimate no wall, because any wall can come to life by means of a film.”
