Romanian Cinema Festival presented by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Istanbul

     The “Dimitrie Cantemir” Romanian Cultural Institute is launching a new project, the Romanian Cinema Festival, which is to take place in Istanbul from April 8 to April 29, 2017 at the Akbank Cultural Center.

     The Romanian films selected for the first edition of the festival are: București nonstop / Bucharest NonStop (directed by Dan Chișu), Restul e tăcere / The Rest is Silence (directed by Nae Caranfil), Chuck Norris vs communism (directed by Ilinca Călugăreanu), Sunt o babă comunistă / I’m an Old Communist Hag (directed by Stere Gulea) and O secundă de viață / One Second of Life (directed by Ioan Cărmăzan).
     The festival presented by the Romanian Cultural Institute in Istanbul is dedicated to showcasing and promoting abroad the best in Romanian cinema and is organized in partnership with Akbank Sanat, a new and important collaborator of RCI in relation to developing together cultural events in Istanbul.
