The film had its British premiere in 2010, at East End International Film Festival of London, where it was distinguished with Best International Debut Award.
Francesca was premiered in 2009 in Venice, in the opening of „Orizzonti” section of the Film Festival, where it stirred great media interest. It is the story of a Romanian woman who wants to open in Italy a school for immigrants' children, and also to change the Italians' perception on Romanians. Francesca is ready to face anything, even the hesitations of people close to her. But the events precipitate, painful truths are brought to light and priorities change.
