The 10th Edition of Kinofest Festival (30 September – 2 October, 2016) was wrapped up, the jury deciding on the best films of the
off-line competitions, and the audience on the winner of the online programme.

The Jury for Fiction was made up of Alexandra Păun (screenwriter, independent film producer),
Iulia Verdeș (actress), Daniel Sur (writer, project coordinator with ICR) and Răzvan Mihai (TV producer). The Best Fiction Short Award went to the film
Drop (Israel, directed by Yotam Knispel).
The Animation jurors were Bogdan Lazăr (animator Golem Studio), Ana Maria Ilie (creative director with Galateca), Andrei Cotruț (graphic and cartoon designer) and Valentin Partenie (film director, director of the Festival). The Best Animation Award went to the French short
Le dernier jour d'un condamné/The Last Day of a Convict, made collectively by Perrine Bayssat, Sarah Dorne, Etienne Molinier, Emilie Phuong, Isabelle Piolat.
Both are student films, produced by Beit Berl Collage (Israel) and by École de l'image Gobelins (France).
The Best Film in the online competition was decided upon by the audience:
Vatuala, a 6-minute short made by the Indian animator Shyam Sundar Chatterjee.
