The Romanian Film Festival PROCULT CINEMA FESTIVAL is to be held in Rome between 23 and 27 November 2016, bringing the audience a series of events, screenings, conferences and debates with the directors in attendance.

The event is promoted by the Proevent Association together with the Embassy of Romania in Italy and with Accademia di Romania in Rome, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs – the Department for Politics for the Relation with Romenians Everywhere, and of the Romanian Cultural Institute.
The programme of PROCULT CINEMA FESTIVAL includes the following feature-length films:
Apusul Aurarilor/The Dawn of the Goldsmiths (directed by Cristina Oancea, 23 November, Accademia di Romenia),
Live (directed by
Vlad Păunescu, 23 November, at 19.30),
Concertul/The Concert (directed by
Radu Mihăileanu, 23 November, at 20.00, French Institute in Rome),
Nunta mută/Silent Wedding (directed by
Horațiu Mălăele, 25 November, Accademia di Romenia),
Romenia: patru patrii/Romania: Four Countries (directed by
Alexandru Solomon, Casa del Cinema din Rome, at 18.45),
Filantropica (directed by
Nae Caranfil, Casa del cinema din Rome, at 20.00),
Pălăria fatală/Fatal Hat (directed by Adrian Munteanu, Casa del Cinema, 27 November, at 16.30) and
Kyra Kyralina (directed by
Dan Pița, Casa del Cinema, 27 November, at 20.15).
Two packs of shorts will be screened at Casa del Cinema. The first will be presented on Saturday, 26 November, from 18.00, and includes

Megatron (directed by
Marian Crișan) and
Betoniera/The Concrete Mixer (directed by Liviu Săndulescu) are part of the second pack, which will be available for viewing on Sunday, 27 November, at 19.00.
On Saturday, 26 November, from 15.00, a conference will be held on the theme: “Romanian-Italian cinema cooperation and productions”, an event hosted by Casa del Cinema of Rome. The guests will be Vlad Păunescu (director, producer), Horațiu Mălăele (actor, director, caricaturist),
Nae Caranfil (director), Marco Bonini (actor, director, screenwriter) and Antonio Palumbo (director). The moderator will be Marius Bizău (actor).
The feature report
Mojo Mobile Journalism, a project developed by the Romanian Television Station – Regional Studio of Cluj-Napoca, will be screened on Sunday, 27 November, at 19.30, and presents a new way of making feature reports: a journalist is now able to use a smartphone in order to record, edit and deliver pictures, texts, video material, which can be then broadcast live through Skype or Google +.
