Open Air Cinema at the Casino Quay in Constanța (August, 8 – 12)
The Open Air Cinema project that takes place at the Casino Quay and in the Ovidiu Square, from July 26 to August 19, already reached its half. Every evening the viewers from Constanța came and enjoyed the flamenco and percussion shows and the creative recycling workshops. The screenings continue, from Thursday to Sunday, from 21:00, with free access for the audience, upon seats availability.
The first two weeks brought films such as Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Volver, Little Miss Sunshine, Sleepy Hollow, the musical Grease and the animation Coco. From August 8 to 12, there are other five productions that are not to be missed: The Grand Budapest Hotel (directed by Wes Anderson – August 8), Ocean's Eleven (directed by Steven Soderbergh – August 9), Edward Scissorhands (directed by Tim Burton – August 10), Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (directed by Michel Gondry – August 11) and Casablanca (directed by Michael Curtiz – August 12).
Before the screening that will be on August 11, from 20:00 to 20:30, the viewers will be able to watch an acrobatic demonstration performed by the Parada Foundation, which takes care of the street children and young people from Bucharest. Parada uses the art of social circus in the process of resocialization of the children who went through the trauma of being abandoned or of the institutional violence, or of the street life. During these past years, the social circus teams involved more than 500 children and they perform regularly on scenes in Italy or France, taking part also in international street art and scene arts festivals.
