Japanese Film Festival starts today


     The Japanese Film Festival is taking place between 25 - 27 November 2016, at the Romanian Farmers Museum in Bucharest.
     The programme includes five feature films underlying the theme food cinema, all of them made by well-known directors of the young generations. The films are as follows: Karaage USA (directed by Naoki Segi, 25 November, at 19.00), Umi no Futa/There Is No Lid on the Sea (directed by Keisuke Toyoshima, 26 November, at 18.00), Akane zora/Purple Sky (directed by Masaki Hamamoto, 26 November, at 20.00), Gin no saji/Silver Spoon (directed by Keisuke Yoshida, 27 November, at 14.00), Budo non amida/Tears of Grapes (directed by Yukiko Mishima, 27 November, at 17.00). The first two films of the programme have Romanian subtitles, and the rest of the screenings have English subtitles.
     Public admission to all screenings will be free of charge.
     The event's organisers are: the Embassy of Japan in Romania, Japan Foundation and the National Farmers Museum - Horia Bernea Studio.
