The European Film Festival will be held in Tîrgu Mureș, from 19 to 21 May 2017, with a selection of 9 feature films made available by the Embassies and Cultural Institutes of Finland, Holland, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Austria.
On Friday, 19 May, the festival will kick off with
Cealaltă parte a speranței / The Other Side of Hope (Finland, 2017, directed by Aki Kaurismäki), to be screened in the opening of FFE in Gura Humorului (19 – 21 May) and Timișoara (26 – 28 May).
One of the important events will be the screening of the latest film directed by
Gabriel Achim,
Ultima zi / The Last Day, winner of the Romanian Film Days Award, feature film section, within TIFF 2016.
The Last Day was released in movie theatres this year on 12 May.
