From May 10 to 13, 2018 the Romanian Cultural Institute in Warsaw invites the Krakow audience to the eleventh edition of the Romanian Cultural Festival in Krakow.
There will be four days of events dedicated to the public of all ages, covering different fields – theatre, literature, visual arts, film, architecture, history, Romanian language workshops.
The event will start with the performance
of “NINA, or the frailty of stuffed seagulls” written by Matei Vișniec, starring Mihaela Teleoacă, Gheorghe Visu and Lucian Pavel, a production of the Comedy Theatre in Bucharest, directed by Alexandru Matei. The festival will include the varnishing of two photo exhibitions that are part of the program celebrating the Great Union Centenary.
Both of them are dedicated to some personalities that represent important innovators and authors of the Union in the history of Romania: the exhibition
Architecture and Royalty can be seen at the International Culture Centre and the exhibition
The Soldier Queen dedicated to Queen Marie can be seen at the City Library in Krakow. Kino Pod Baranami, the best art cinema in town, will be the place where Romanian feature films, short films and animations will be screened and also the place which will host creative workshops for children. Literature will have its privileged place within the festival program, including meetings with the writer Lucian Dan Teodorovici and with the historian Adrian Cioroianu. The program will also include workshops of teaching Romanian for adults and children.

Vera Surățel).
