Paul Negoescu`s film,
Two Lottery Tickets / Două lozuri, opens the 2018 programme at the Romanian Cinematheque of the Romanian Cultural Institute London. This hilarious comedy became quickly the top box office film of the past few years.
The feature film is based on the short story written by Ion Luca Caragiale and tells the story of three friends from a small town who must acknowledge that winning the lottery is not at all an easy thing. The film stars a golden acting triad made of
Dragoş Bucur,
Dorian Boguţă and
Alexandru Papadopol.
The screening is followed by a Q&A with the actor Alexandru Papadopol.
The Romanian Cinematheque is one of the permanent ICR London programmes, which is meant to promote the Romanian films of all time. Starting with 2017, the Cinematheque presents a series of recent Romanian films which were not distributed by the British networks.
