The third Edition of the DOC AND ROLL Documentary Film Festival will be held between 11 - 17 April, at Patria Cinematheque and at Rockstadt Club in Brașov.
This year, the Festival's main theme is
Club 27, the doomed „club” of genius musicians who died at 27. Within this program, documentary bio features will be screened on Robert Johnson, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, Jim Morrison, Kurt Cobain, Amy Winehouse.
The Festival will also host the premiere of the documentary
Balta Albă, with director Silviu Muntean attending. The feature tells the stories of generations of musicians from the Bucharest neighbourhood of Balta Albă.
DOC AND ROLL is being organized by the Fanzin Cultural Association, with the support of the Romanian National Filmmakers' Centre. The Festival's artistic directors and selectors are Alin Ludu Dumbravă and Dan Stăiculescu.
