“Cultural and Creative Sector” Debate at Arcub  


     Creative industries maybe the engine of local development and may generate a regional economic growth. The obstacles and opportunities of this process will be debated on Thursday, 14 April, from 9.30, at Bucharest Municipality Cultural Centre, Arcub.
     The event is part of Maia Workshop (11-15 April, 2016, Snagov, Romania), an important European film training program.
     The debate „Cultural and Creative Sector – Driving Regional Growth” will analyse how to better the cooperation between state and public sectors, and how to facilitate creative industries' development, for the benefit of local economies and for a significant cultural impact.
     Juliane Schultz, Senior Partner Peacefulfish, is to host the debate. She has 25-year experience in audio-visual, she is a financial and business expert and advisor for companies and entrepreneurs in creative and cultural industries. The debate is to be attended by representatives of the Prime Minister's Cabinet, of the Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Finances and Ministry of Culture
     On the same day, a meeting will be held between UNATC students and Maia workshop attendants, where the students will have the opportunity to pitch their projects.
     Maia Workshop is one of the most important film training, development and advisory programs at European level, dedicated to producers and distributors. Set up 10 years ago, the program is divided into three sessions, over one year, and covering the most significant aspects linked to film development, funding and distribution. 
     Maia Workshop is organised by Anchor Film and by Secvențe Association, in partnership with Saga Film.
