The 28th edition of the DaKINO International Film Festival – the first international film festival in Romania – will take place in March, from 7 to 10, at the Peasant Museum Cinema.
The competition program is made of 18 short films, fiction and animation, produced in 14 countries from different corners of the world. This year the films were selected by the same film critics

Cristi Mărculescu and George Mihalcea. Three short films are signed by Romanian directors:
8 (directed by Mihai Pîrcălabu),
Silence / Liniște (directed by Alex Iureș) and
The Monster / Monstrul (directed by Laura Pop).
The 2019 DaKINO Jury is presided by Mary Kate O'Flanagan, a screenwriter, a screenplay consultant and a script writing professor from Ireland, who is joined by th film producer
Anamaria Antoci, the actressa
Diana Cavallioti, Nuno Rodrigues, the curator and programmer of the Curtas Vila do Conde Film Festival, Portugal and
Bogdan Mureșanu, film screenwriter and director, who was recently awarded at the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival.
On Sunday, March 10, 2019, during the festival Closing Gala, the jury will give the DaKINO 2019 Trophy for the Best

Short Film, the Best Director Award and the Best Screenplay award, as well as special awards of the Jury. During the event, following the votes of the viewers, the Audience Award will also be given.
