Cristian Tudor Popescu at the “Cinematheque for Everybody”, on Thursday, April 28th

The “Cinematheque for everybody” program, developed by reviewer, journalist and writer Cristian Tudor Popescu has reached its 20th lecture, to be delivered on Thursday, at 19:00, at the Eforie (Jean Georgescu) Hall of the Romanian Cinematheque.
Within this 20th lecture of the course, the talk on the feature Probă de microfon (Microphone Test) (1979) will be continued, with a special focus on the evolution of director Mircea Daneliuc in relation with the totalitarian system. Afterwards, Cristian Tudor Popescu will analyse the film O lacrimă de fată (A Girl's Tear) (1980, directed by Iosif Demian).
“Cinematheque for everybody” is to be resumed in May, when meetings with Cristian Tudor Popescu at Eforie Cinematheque are to start each Thursday evening, at 18:30.
This project, whose first edition was carried out under the theme: “Cinema and propaganda in the Romanian film history”, is being set up by the EuRo Cinema Association and the Romanian Cultural Institute. As usual, the admission will be free of charge, within the limit of available seats.
