German Cinemas might re-open around mid-July

     HDF Kino, the biggest German association of cinemas, said that the German cinemas might re-open around mid-July.
     Christine Berg, the HDF CEO, declared that the date for re-opening the German cinemas “is unclear, but we believe that July could be realistic.”
     Though she was optimistic when talking about the recovery of the cultural field, Berg admitted that the cinemas struggle for survival: “We hope that the viewers will return when we will be able to re-open the cinemas. Enjoying a film on a big screen, with perfect sound is an unparalleled experience. But without any shadow of a doubt, the present crisis is existential. We need more financial support from the state for each cinema, even if it`s big or small.”
