The Romanian Cultural Institute in Warsaw will be in 2016, too, a partner of this Festival, that is to unfold this year during 21-31 July.
Cristian Mungiu is a guest at the section “Masters of European Cinema” (on 26 July, he will deliver the “Lesson on Cinematography Excellence” within a meeting hosted by film reviewer Dan Făinaru), and Adrian Sitaru will be a member of the International Competition Jury.
ICR of Warsaw is supporting the Romanian participation to other two sections of the Festival: the workshops „Studio Nowe Horyzonty” and the programme “A Sunday in the Country”.
The workshops for young filmmakers “Studio Nowe Horyzonty” (24-27 July) will discuss the functioning of the international film market (promotion, marketing, sales, pitching, networking, festival setting-up etc.). The Romanian guest of this year is producer Ana Maria Pîrvan.
The meetings within “A Sunday in the Country” are dedicated to young film critics, and Romania will be represented by reviewer Andreea Mihalcea. This will be a first Romanian presence to this event already at its 5th Edition.
