“Chuck Norris versus Communism”, available without subscription on HBO GO

     After Toto și surorile lui/Toto and His Sisters (directed by Alexander Nanau) and Rețeaua/The Network (directed by Claudiu Mitcu), HBO GO carries on its series of subscribtion-free documentaries with the production Chuck Norris versus comunism/Chuck Norris versus Communism.

     Starting today, the documentary directed by Ilinca Călugăreanu and co-produced by HBO Europe, is available subscription-free on HBO GO for a month.
     At the middle of the ‘80s decade, thousands of Hollywood movies were illegally entered the country, through a well-oiled operation that grew bigger and bigger, reaching the houses of millions of Romanians. The brave stories with action actors like Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme captivated every child's imagination, and the entire audience was hypnotised by the films' exotic settings and context.
