The Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) of Budapest is to resume its program “Romanian Films of Today”, within which the latest Romanian films will be screened between June – August, 2016.

On 20 June, 2016, at 19.00, ICR Budapest will set up the screening of the artistic feature
Cel ales/The Chosen One, directed by
Cristian Comeagă. The film will be screened at ICR Budapest with Hungarian subtitles.
“If what I imagined really works, the viewers won't assimilate anything, the message will be imprinted in their affective memory without them knowing it. However, I would like them to retain on their retinae the last image of the film, that of a serene, glittering sea at sunrise, and to feel, not to understand, but to feel that, regardless how long and winding our road might be, we always return to the place where we left from,” director Cristian Comeagă said.
The Chosen One had its premiere in Hungary at the 10th edition of the “Romanian Film Week in Budapest”, organised by ICR Budapest on 14 October, 2015.
