The “Romanian Film Caravan – Masterpieces of National Cinema” returns to Brăila, in “Monument” Park, with Romanian film screenings, paying homage to artistic personalities born on the Danube's bank town.

If, last year, the “Romanian Film Caravan” showed famous films paying homage to actors born in Brăila –
Vasilica Tastaman, Ştefan Mihăilescu-Brăila and
Catrinel Dumitrescu –, the Brăila-born personalities celebrated this year are are actress
Victoria Cociaş, director
Dan Chișu and writer Panait Istrati.
Film lovers are invited on Friday, 12 August, at 20.30, to the screening of the feature
O poveste de dragoste, Lindenfeld/A Love Story, Lindenfeld (directed by
Radu Gabrea), having as protagonists Victoria Cociaş and
Victor Rebengiuc; the screening being attended by Victoria Cociaș and Radu Gabrea. Also on Friday, from 22.00, the latest film directed by Dan Chişu,
Bucureşti NonStop, will be screened.
The program will continue on Sunday, 13 August, from 20.30, with the adaptation of the novel by Panait Istrati,
Kyra Kyralina, directed by
Dan Pița.
The films presented by the “Romanian Film Caravan” in Brăila are part of the events under the title Brăila Municipality Days.
Admission will be free of charge.
