During 6-9 October 2016, Slatina Municipality will play host to the 22nd Edition of the Comedy Competition-Festival “Oltenii &... Restu’ lumii“ / “People from Oltenia &… The Rest of the World”.

The programme is rich and, as every year, it includes the famous Oltenia customs, pop and folklore concerts, epigram, interpretation and caricature contests, painting and photo exhibitions, as well as films brought by the “Romanian Film Caravan”.
The screenings will kick off on Thursday, 6 October, at 18.00, with
Cel ales/The Chosen One (directed by
Cristian Comeaga), the special guest being actor
Bogdan Stanoevici, who will attend the meeting with the audience. During the next 3 festival days, the following features are scheduled:
Doar cu buletinul la Paris/To Paris with the ID Card (directed by
Șerban Marinescu),
Live (directed by
Vlad Păunescu) and
Concertul/The Concert (directed by
Radu Mihăileanu).
Furthermore, screenings of children films will also be held on Saturday and Sunday morning, starting at 10.00. Saturday, 8 October, the following may be viewed
: Un bulgăre de humă/A Clod of Clay (directed by
Nicolae Mărgineanu) and the animation
Uimitoarele aventuri ale Muşchetarilor/The Amazing Adventures of the Musketeers (directed by
Victor Antonescu). The guest invited to talk about these films is Professor
Mihai Orăşanu.
Sunday, 9 October, is scheduled the presentation of the documentaries:
Constantin Brâncuşi. Coloana sau Lecţia despre infinit/Constantin Brâncuși. The Column or the Lesson on Infinity and
Maria Tănase, made by
Laurenţiu Damian, special guest to the screenings.
Admission to all screenings will be free of charge.
