The Docuart Caravan: Two Days of Screenings in Constanța


     The Docuart Caravan arrives in Constanța by the end of this week, on April 12 and 13. The films will be screened at Cintyplex (Tomis Mall).
Access is free upon seats availability.
     The selection includes documentaries awarded at the 2017 Bucharest Docuart Fest and they are productions made in the past two years by students and professionals.
     The screenings start on Thursday, April 12, from 18:30 with the short film A Failed Life/ O viață ratată  (directed by Eugeniu Bocancea) about the history of resistance of a National Peasant`s Party follower, in front of the repressions of the Socialist regime in Romania. Secondo Me (directed by Pavel Cuzuioc), starts at 19:00. The film follows the daily life of three cloakroom attendants at three European opera houses: Vienna State Opera, La Scala in Milan and Odessa Opera House. Notorious Deeds /Faptele sunt cunoscute (directed by Gabriel Tempea). The film tells the story of Cristian, a secondary school student from Bucharest who is excluded from the Communist Youth organization; then he is expelles from school for “reprehensible deeds”.
     The second screening day (April 13), starts at 18:30 with He Who Loves and Lets Go/ Cine iubește și lasă (directed by Victor Gălușcă), the best documentary at 2017 BDF, which presents a collection of almost 4,000 negatives from the `60s, found in an abandpned house. The evening continues with a story of roots and humanization, a making off of the 2015 International Stradivarius Tour and is dedicated to George Enescu and his childhood house that is about to collapse. Enescu Experience by Diana Iabrașu and Alexandru Condurache. Ion Donică and his documentary which received Best Director award, Moments of Silence/Momente de tăcere starts at 20:30 and closes the Docuart Caravan. The Caravan is on the road with the Romanian documentary together with BMW Romania.
     The project is organized by the Docuart Cultural Association for Romanian Documentary and represents an extension of the Bucharest Docuart Fest. The Docuart Caravan is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and the National Identity (MCIN) and the National Film Centre (CNC).
