The Chamber of Deputies, as a decisional forum of the Parliament adopted a law project which provides an increase from 2% to 4% of the percentage allotted to the film industry from the sums collected to the budget from the gambling operators. This increase proposal was suggested by the former liberal minister of Culture, the deputy Gigel-Sorinel Știrbu.
Last year, the government approved a new aid scheme for the local film industry, valid until 2021 and having an annual budget of 50 million Euro. This amount was prepared to be allotted as support given to the film producers, with the purpose of increasing the local film production. The money will be transferred by the National
Agency of Fiscal Administration until May 31, the present year, for the previous year.
