Câini / Dogs, the first feature film directed by
Bogdan Mirică, took home Best Debut Foreign Film Award granted by the French Union of Film Critics.

The Gala was organised by the French Syndicate of Cinema Critics (Syndicat Français de la Critique de Cinéma) on Monday night, 30 January 2017, at the French Cinematheque. The Best Debut Foreign Film Award was granted for the first time in 2014.
Dogs was
internationally premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2016, at the section Un Certain Regard, the
Romanian preview screening following shortly, at TIFF Cluj.
