Between 16 - 20 August, Hunedoara will host the creative writing for children workshop entitled “Stories of Monuments”, set up by the Association for the Safeguarding and Promoting the Corvin Castle in Hunedoara in partnership with the Archaeology, History and Etnography Museum of Hunedoara and with the Corvin Castle Museum.
“Stories of Monuments – Creative Writing Workshop” is addressed to children aged between 8 - 14 years old. For 5 days, the children will get acquainted with the history of the castle and castle keepers, will learn to build a narrative structure and to use their creativity in order to make up, alone or in teams, new stories about the Corvin Castle. The workshops will be held during 10:00 – 13:00, at the Corvin Castle.
“Stories of Monuments” is an event aiming at involving young audience into activities such as perceiving and critical interpreting of historical monuments, being part of the European cooperation programme
“Digital Arts and Storytelling for Heritage Audience Development”. The project includes two creation workshops addressed to young audience and an event for the presentation of these workshops' results, together with the results of the international creation contest developed within the DARTS programme. The creative writing workshop is the first of these events.
