Analog photos, short films shot on film, comic books and paintings made by teenagers: One World Romania in School invites you to the installation-exhibition entitled “ANTI-instagram”, organized after a creative research workshop, which took place in August 2018, in Anina. The vernissage will take place at MNAC (4th floor), on April 3, starting with 19:00; it will be followed by a concert of a

special guest.
Last summer, 20 teenagers from all over the country spent a week and half in Anina, exploring the social realities of a former mining town, through visual artistic means. Working in teams, they made short documentaries shot on film, analog photos and Polaroids, comics and paintings based on the town history, but also on the stories of the town inhabitants. During the vernissage, the films made by the teenager teams will be screened. They can also be watched during the entire exhibition.
The result of the multidisciplinary research made by the 20 teenagers, which combined the anthropological and historic theory with different artistic practices, can be seen at the National Museum of Contemporary Art (the 4th floor), from April 3 to 14. The participants are: Alexandra Apețean, Luisa Balaban, Octavia Bortișcă, Dalesia-Ariadna Cozorici, Ilie-Nicușor-Gabriel Horvath, Ionuț-Andrei Martalog, Dragoș-Andrei Mîndrilă, Macrina-Maria Moldovan, Andrei-Olivian Movileanu, Iris Nedea, Theodor-Cristian Niculae, Irina Novac, Sara-Patricia Pongrac, Anca Pol, Iuliana-Alexandra Radu, Patricia-Ioana Sas, Andrada-Teodora Țiganea.
The creative research workshops represent the latest One World Romania in School, started by the end of August 2018. Dedicated to the high school students who are passionate about visual, anthropological and cultural exploring of the social realities of our days, the workshops represent a space where the teenagers are able to experiment the story of a special place, using different artistic practices, such as photography, drawing, shooting on film, making comics and other creative forms of research.
