“I was born in former Yugoslavaia, in Pancevo, near Belgrade. From there we moved to Novi Sad when I was in the 7th grade and when I turned 18 my parents decided to move to Romania. It was in 1993. Even from an early age I was rather erratic. For six years I studied classical ballet, for nine years I took piano lessons but in high school I chose architecture as a profile and… I bedazzled my parents when I announced them that I wanted to become an actress.I was accepted at the academy after my first try.Intuition, I presume…I could have failed.. Of course that all this implied a tremendous effort, I had to tune in with the Romanian vocabulary and pronounciation.Victor Rebengiuc encouraged me as he very much liked my rebellious spirit.I only wanted to show what I can do and how I can do it. I studied in Alexandru Repan and Mitica Popescu’s class.Actor Victor Strengaru joined in later. In school I did mainly comedy. When I heard that director Vlad Mugur organized casting sessions at the Youth Theatre in Piatra Neamt I went there too.It was my life’s first real chance.I discovered that acting was an art and not a craft” (Cinema Magazine,2002)
