Graduate of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, the Faculty of Management (class of 1998). A year after graduating he has a sudden change of direction and approaches the “I L Caragiale” Academy for Theatre and Film .He graduates the Film Direction section in 2003. The short fiction films he made during his student years were awarded in Cannes and Montpellier film festivals. Although he won the national screenplay contest organized by the CNC, the debut section , with his screenplay”About Angels and Hair”, he chose to direct another subject, his first long feature 12:0, East of Bucharest / A fost sau n-a fost?, out of his own budget. His former project was taken over, after a few years, by Igor Cobileanski who changed its title into The Unsaved / La limita de jos a cerului.
